Housing
Consumer Focus Wales, in conjunction with Consumer Focus Investigations, and with the support of Consumer Focus Scotland, has recently launched a major piece of research to try and identify the issues faced by residential park home residents across Great Britain. The research will examine the extent of their difficulties and explore how the issues they face may be addressed.
“Park homes” are detached bungalow style homes which are known as mobile homes. They can be found in residential parks and are used by their owners as their permanent home. Thousands of people in Great Britain live in a park home all year round. In the coming months, we will be working to develop a robust evidence base with which to influence the Welsh, Scottish and UK Governments, local authorities and other key stakeholders. As part of this we are undertaking research to gather the experiences of residents and local authorities.
We would therefore like to hear from you about any problems you may be having on your park home site. If you would like to speak to us about your experiences of living in a park home or to take part in this project, please email ParkHomes@consumerfocus.org.uk.
