Consumer Focus wants to ensure postal consumers throughout the UK are receiving a fair deal. Part of our statutory requirement is to inform you about your postal service.
This section of the website contains information on the UK postal service – from how Royal Mail works, to how to reduce the amount of unwanted mail you receive.
Royal Mail has produced a comprehensive and easy-to-read guide to their mail services entitled, Mail made easy. This should be available in Post Offices, and contains information about their letters, parcels and international services, as well as what they can’t provide and what to do if you have a problem.
Remember – if you have a problem with, or complaint about, your postal service, contact your postal provider, usually Royal Mail. The Citizens Advice consumer service can also give advice and information.
