Briefing: Consumers and the Market for Hire Purchase, Loans and Credit in Scotland

This briefing reports on the findings of a Consumer Focus Scotland survey into consumer experience of buying hire purchase, loans and credit services. It did not include mortgages. Consumers were interviewed if they had had recent experience of using these services; in total 500 consumers provided information on this market.
