Access to broadband services increasingly influences how we access essential goods and services. It affects how we work, learn, shop, bank, pay bills and socialise. It can also impact on how we use public services, seek medical care and deal with legal issues.
However, the provision of broadband services is also a market in its own right – and given the vital role that broadband can play in helping consumers access other goods and services, it is an extremely important market. Consumer Focus Scotland believes that it is essential that consumers have access to broadband technology which meets their needs, offers them a high quality of service and provides good value for money.
