Towards the end of 2011 the Scottish Government asked Consumer Focus Scotland to help them explore consumers’ views of digital public services. The use of digital technology potentially allows greater scope for people to access the services they need at a time and place that suits them. The Scottish Government were keen to find out how consumers feel about the delivery of more public services online, and what they might need and expect from online public services in the future. The evidence gathered will be considered in the development of their Digital Public Services Strategy.
