People come into contact with the law in a variety of ways. Normal day to day transactions such as buying goods in a shop, getting married, or buying a house all have legal implications. The law provides a wide range of rights to protect people, however often people don’t know they have these rights, don’t know how to enforce them, or don’t know who to ask for help. Without such knowledge, these rights are meaningless.
Consumer Focus Scotland aims to ensure that all consumers know their rights, have access to appropriate legal and advice services and are able to access justice.
Please note that Consumer Focus Scotland is unable to provide individual legal advice to consumers. For advice on your rights, please click here to go to Consumer Advice where you can find links to organisations that can help you.
