About Us

Our Structure

Consumer Focus Scotland has a uniquely wide remit covering the whole economy, combined with an in-depth expertise on the key issues of energy and post.

We have retained expertise from our predecessor organisations, ensuring continuity in skills, experience and the capacity to understand consumers’ experiences across different sectors.

Our wide remit means we can create cross-sector synergies which were not possible before – for instance, the role of post offices can be looked at in the wider context of access to local services, and energy for consumers can be set in the wider context of energy policy and climate change.

We have established advocacy programmes on a range of issues, reflecting our key concerns: energy, post, public services, sustainability, community services, open markets, consumer services, and disadvantaged consumers. The work carried out by these programmes will span the whole economy, and include both public and private sectors.

We also have a commitment to work on behalf of vulnerable consumers, and a duty to work on issues of sustainable development. Both of these will be at the heart of our work.

As our campaigns and projects develop, we will be putting more information on these on this website.
