How we represent consumers
Consumer Focus is committed to promoting the interests of consumers across energy services, and recognises energy efficiency as the best way to protect against rising bills.
We undertake research to understand consumer views and needs, using a range of approaches and targeting the issues that matter most.
We then use that evidence base to make consumers’ voices heard as the sole consumer representative on:
- DECC’s Green Deal Advice forum
- DECC’s Maximising Energy Efficiency sub-groups:
- Private Rental Sector
- Owner occupiers
- DECC’s microgeneration industry contact group
We have a particular focus on the needs of vulnerable consumers and are an active member of:
Consumer Focus also works directly with industry to test the viability of policy options and to provide insight on commercial proposals in order to protect and promote consumer’s needs.
