In response to Ofgem’s package of reforms on network price controls announced today, Audrey Gallacher, Head of Energy Policy at Consumer Focus, said:
“We are pleased with the regulator’s moves to put consumers’ needs at the heart of performance incentives and punishments. This will help to peg back the price increases needed to pay for an energy network fit for a low-carbon future. However, consumers are directly affected by this process and Consumer Focus will keep a keen eye on how well these moves balance the need for low carbon energy supplies in the near future with affordable energy prices in the present.”
