One of Consumer Focus’s roles is to evaluate energy supplier performance. We then make performance information available to consumers. This includes the latest star ratings, full methodology and a graph showing the metrics over time.
The purpose of the statistics is to provide meaningful relative performance information for consumers to allow them to make informed switching decisions. The publication of unbiased and transparent information on performance is also important in providing the energy industry with an incentive to drive improvements in its customer service.
We have now launched a consultation to assess the way we evaluate supplier performance and would welcome responses.
