The Consumer Focus Confidence Code

Consumer Focus Confidence CodeIn 2002 energywatch launched a voluntary code of practice for companies providing domestic gas and electricity price comparison services over the internet. In 2008 they went out to consultation to review the Code, which resulted in a number of recommendations to ensure that consumers consistently got access to impartial and accurate information from price comparison services.

The revised Confidence Code was launched on 1st October 2008, when at the same time Consumer Focus assumed ownership and responsibility for the Code going forward.
