Pushchair safety
The team recently concluded an investigation into the safety of pushchairs which use a side hinge. During the course of the investigation, a number of pushchair manufacturers have taken steps to address the safety concerns raised by consumers who had suffered finger crushing and amputation injuries.
Shoppers Discounts and Rewards
Following consumer complaints about Webloyalty International Limited, trading as Shopper Discounts and Rewards, Consumer Focus Investigations secured an agreement from the company that it would refund any subscription payments to consumers who had never intended to sign up to the scheme and who had never used any of the benefits provided as part of the scheme. Consumers are advised to do either one or both of the following:
- Contact Shoppers Discounts and Rewards using the free phone number: 0800 731 9935. An immediate refund of up to three months subscriptions will be given. If you have paid more than three months of subscriptions you will be sent a form to complete to request a refund of the remaining payments
- Write to Gill Hynes at Webloyalty, 19-21 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 8QB. Please put the full details of your complaint, in order for a refund to be given
